Catapyrenium daedaleum

Squamulose terricolous, on soils mixed with mosses.
Note: our material is sterile, however, the others characters and its ecology, make us think, that it is
C. daedaleum.
Upper cortex thin, poorly delimited from the algal layer, medulla thick with loose hyphae, lower cortex lacking, pycnidia absent, upper surface faintly pruinose. Hypo/prothallus dark.

Living in the supra- to oro-mediterranean belt.
Lithology: on mosses between schist.
Altitude: 1.850 m
