Caloplaca marina


Crustose, saxicolous on maritime siliceous rocks in the mesic supralittoral zone.
Note: yellow-orange to bright orange thallus. The thallus is composed of small granules of tissue but  is never powdery. Apothecia are small and either scattered through the thallus or grouped in small clustered:

Spores septate with the septum dividing the spore into sections of 1/3 and 2/3:
