Note: our record for this species in Almería would confirm the first record of Colmeiro in 1867 (revised from Burgaz, A.R. 2014. Líquenes de Andalucía (S de España): catálogo bibliográfico y nuevos datos del NW del área). Thallus pale to bright sulphur yellow, often lobed at the margins, sometimes pruinose. All chemical tests negative. Hundreds of spores per ascus:
